The George is located in the heart of the village of Ashley, which nestles within the Welland Valley on the border of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
The Grade II listed ironstone building was built in 1745 and offers a cosy front bar with an open fire and adjoining dining area. Free parking and a quiet location, less than 10 miles (16 km) from Market Harborough, Corby and Kettering. The A6, A47 and A14 are within easy reach as are direct train lines to London from Market Harborough and Corby.
Local visitor attractions include Rockingham Castle, Rockingham Speedway, Rutland Water and Foxton Locks. If you're in to fishing Eyebrook reservoir is but a stones throw away! With plenty of fishermen in the bar willing to tell a few tales.
